How does Sarasota Senior Advisor source its facts?
Every regulatory statement cites the Florida statute or rule it comes from; cost figures come from CareScout's 2025 Florida release; Medicaid figures from DCF's April 2026 standards; population figures from Census Bureau Vintage 2025 estimates; PACE figures from AHCA's August 2026 report; and life plan community data from OIR's October 2025 map.

What will Sarasota Senior Advisor not publish?
We do not publish figures we cannot trace to a primary source, facility details that are not in AHCA's, CMS's or OIR's data, reviews, testimonials, or ratings of our own.
- No Sarasota-specific cost median: CareScout's Florida release publishes statewide medians only.
- No memory care median: CareScout does not survey memory care.
- No assisted living ratings: neither Florida nor CMS rates assisted living, and we will not invent a score.
- No life plan community prices: OIR approves contract forms, not prices, and does not publish fees.
- No facility details from marketing copy or operator websites.
How often is the directory updated?
The directory is regenerated from AHCA's locator, profiles and inspection histories (retrieved October 31, 2026) and CMS's Provider Information dataset (data as of October 1, 2026) whenever the fetch script is rerun.
Each listing page shows its source and data date. Page dates in our sitemap change only when a page's content actually changes.
How does Sarasota Senior Advisor handle ratings and enforcement records?
We show CMS's ratings exactly as CMS publishes them, labelled with the data date, only for nursing homes CMS certifies, and we reproduce AHCA's inspection citations and sanctions as AHCA lists them, with dates.
Comparisons on facility pages, such as whether staffing hours are above the two-county median, are simple arithmetic on the published figures, and each states what it is compared against. AHCA's memory care program flag is self-reported by facilities and is labelled that way.
How do I request a correction?
Email advisors@sarasotasenioradvisor.com with the page and the correction; operators may request corrections to how their data is displayed, but the underlying records come from AHCA, CMS and OIR, so changes to them must be made with those agencies.
Reader corrections about Florida rules or benefit amounts are checked against the statute or agency page before we change anything.
